Environmental Policy

 

Harrisons Solicitors LLP has been providing high quality legal services in Shropshire and Mid-Wales for over 160 years.

With solicitors specialising in the full range of legal services and employing state of the art legal and technical resources the practice is well positioned to deploy effective and focused expertise and experience across the full spectrum of both commercial and domestic law.

 

The main environmental impacts of the business are waste of both paper and energy. In order to protect the envionment for ourselves and future generations all members and employees have agreed and shall conform to the following principles:

 

•  Prevent any pollution or contaminants being released into the environment;

•  Meet, and wherever possible, exceed the requirements of UK and EU environmental legislation;

•  Continuously monitor, and act to improve, the business' use of natural resources;

•  Actively manage the waste generated and ensure that all reuseable resources are properly recycled;

•  Help protect the environment by minimising the impact of any activity that could contribute to climate change;

•  Vigourously pursue developments in Information Technology to move towards the realisation of the “Paperless Office” where practical and without infringing on the requirements laid out by regulatory authorities;

•  Protect and improve the environmental and historical status of the buildings in which we operate;

•  Encourage our partners and suppliers to show the same commitment to the environment;

•  Ensure our employees have the skills and resources necessary to contribute to our environmental commitments;

•  Offer our clients legal support and advice services to enable them to effectively contribute to a greener future.
