Charity Challenge for Paul
30th June 2010
Congratulations to Harrisons' Solicitor Paul Ingram who has completed two major sporting challenges this year raising over £400 for Sport Relief.
The first challenge was the London Marathon on Sunday 25th April 2010. Paul completed the 26.2 mile course in a personal best time of 3 hours and 26 minutes.
The London marathon was however a training run for Paul's main challenge which was to complete Ironman France in Nice on 27th June 2010.
This was an Ironman triathlon entailing a 2.4 mile swim, 112 miles of cycling and a full 26 mile marathon at the end. With a mixture of jelly fish hills and 30 degree heat to contend with just crossing the finish line was the aim. Paul completed the course in 12 hours 38 minutes and the relief that it was over is evident from the photo. Paul had been training for this event for over seven months involving up to 18 hours of exercise a week.
Paul is currently thinking up next years challenge.
