National Minimum Wage Increase - Anne Smith

With effect from 1st October 2009 the National Minimum Wage is set to increase.
Workers aged 22 and over should receive a minimum of £5.80 per hour up from the previous £5.73. From October 2010 this age bracket is set to include 21 year olds.
The rate for 18 to 21 year olds will increase to £4.83 per hour from £4.77.
The rate for 16 to 17 year olds will increase to £3.57 per hour from £3.53.
